Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ: FAQ

What should be my first step?

The first step is usually an initial consultation which gives us an opportunity to explore your reasons for considering therapy.

Making the first call or sending the initial email can seem daunting. I am always very happy to discuss any concerns, questions or fears you may have s prior to the initial consultation.

You can email me at talkingcureslondon@gmail.com or call me on 07790901431

What are your fees?

An initial consultation lasts for 50 minutes and is £40

My standard rate starts from £90 for each 50-minute session.

Where do you see clients?

I am based in London & Brighton and only see clients face-to-face

How many sessions will I need?

This will very much depend on you as an individual and what you are looking to explore. For some people and situations shorter, time-limited, therapy is highly effective. For others, open-ended, longer-term therapy is more appropriate.

What does it mean to be registered with the BACP?

The BACP is the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy, one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members.

The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

As a registered member I am listed on the BACP Register, which shows that I have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
